THANK YOU TO OUR SUPPORTERS:
National Trails Day at WF Hayden Park at Green Mountain!
Assist park staff with trail construction, maintenance and restoration
Help improve the trails at your local open space! Volunteers will assist park staff with trail maintenance, construction and reclamation work at William Frederick Hayden Park at Green Mountain. The project will focus on the Box o’ Rox trail and some surrounding social trails. We will also have a naturalist program available for our youngest volunteers while their parents work on the trail (PLEASE let us know if you would like your children to participate). This event is made possible through the support of the Colorado Mountain Bike Association (COMBA) and REI. Lite breakfast and lunch will be provided. Following the trail project, please join us for an afternoon of trail outreach and a bicycle demo at the Rooney Road trailhead in cooperation with Jefferson County Open Space, COMBA, Wheat Ridge Cyclery and Yeti Bicycles. Volunteers should be prepared for hard work and a hike to the project locations. Please wear appropriate work clothes, shoes and gloves. BRING EXTRA WATER, snacks and suncreen.
