DescriptionPatrol, monitor and help maintain your favorite trail. As an Adopt-a-Trail sponsor you, or members of your organization or business, will regularly spend time on your adopted trail or trail segment. While you’re out, you’ll be on the lookout for anything unusual. You may perform light maintenance including trash removal, raking out errant tracks, and blocking/rehabbing shortcuts or unauthorized social trails. Sponsors should also take note of more significant maintenance needs, safety concerns or resource damage/violations and report them to the BLM. Maintenance projects may be organized by sponsors, but must be authorized and planned in conjunction with the BLM.
