| SJMA offers a multitude of programs and projects for the outdoor ethusiast.Whether your interests include horses, hiking, bicycling, rock climbing, archaeology or other outdoor recreation we here at SJMA support wise use of the lands. The San Juan Mountains Association is a nonprofit organization created in
1989 with a mission to enhance personal and community stewardship of
natural, cultural and heritage resources on public and other lands in
Southwest Colorado through interpretation, information, education and
participation. SJMA develops and empowers partnerships among public land
management agencies (Forest Service, BLM, State Parks,and others), other nonprofit organizations, recreation users and a core of dedicated volunteers in an effort to protect and preserve the natural beauty and cultural resources of Southwest Colorado. |
